Since moving with my family to Albuquerque, New Mexico, we have slowly become more acquainted with the city and its many attractions.

After seeing the entire city of Albuquerque from thousands of miles up on the Sandia Peak Tramway, we then visited Old Town. As the city’s very first neighborhood dating back 300 years, it is naturally the cultural hub for the surrounding districts and boroughs. The enchiladas served at the restaurants in Old Town are some of the best in the world. Another type of attraction that Albuquerque has in high quantity are museums. Every year tourists and residents flock to the Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum, the Albuquerque Museum, the Natural Museum of Nuclear Science and History, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, and the Unser Racing Museum just to name a few. If I’m trying to find a place to take my family on a hot summer afternoon, we try to focus on indoor activities where cold air conditioning is available. Thus far, all of our visits to local museums were a success as far as indoor air comfort is concerned. There was one small museum that had an air conditioner problem on the day we were there, but it was still running at reduced capacity. All in all, there are countless activities in Albuquerque, even if you want to stay in a cool indoor environment.
