The cannabis culture in Seattle

Writing is an art, which means there isn’t just one right way to do it. This is actually what I love the most about writing – it’s a way for a person to reinvent themselves. I do all kinds of creative writing, but I also do more serious forms of writing for my job. As a freelance writer I pick up extra gigs every week to generate online web content, or material to use in marketing campaigns for businesses. This is not my passion, of course, but by doing these writing assignments I can pay the bills and keep chasing my real passion! I need the money to pay rent, keep the lights on, and buy cannabis from one of the many Seattle weed stores. This is where things get interesting, because recently I did an interview with the owner of a local cannabis dispensary, and it might lead to a job! I never bothered applying for a job at the dispensary, because competition is so stiff in Seattle. This isn’t the bush leagues, Seattle is the Big League when it comes to cannabis. Most dispensaries in Seattle won’t even take your job application if you don’t have at least 2 years experience in the field. When I interviewed Ed for a series of blogs about innovation in cannabis development in the Seattle area, I really impressed him. He said that even though I had no dispensary training my deep knowledge of cannabis was enough to get me a job. Now I have two jobs that involve the amazing Seattle cannabis culture.
