My man and I moved to Orland Park, IL a couple of weeks ago, however the people I was with and I opted to go back beach house to TX for a week during the holidays, and my parents were really happy to see both of us.
There were no flights directly from Orland Park, however the people I was with and I had plenty of one-way options from Chicago.
My man and I made our reservations about a week in advance. Tickets were still lavish, because the people I was with and I were traveling during the holidays, when our man and I made our reservations, the people I was with and I acquired an email from the airport, but one of the reminders was to arrive early and expect delays during the Wintertide weeks. Orland Park and the surrounding areas often experience very cold winters with lake effect snow. On the day the people I was with and I were supposed to leave, hot and cold temperatures were 33°. Our flight wasn’t until 4 p.m., and there was no precipitation in the forecast! Unfortunately the temperature started to drop after dinner time and the sky was filled with clouds, i contacted the airport and found out that our flight was delayed by at least two hours. My man and I left Orland Park when our flight was supposed to leave. It did not take off until the following day. The two of us spent the entire evening in the airport hoping that the flight would leave. The airline finally made the decision to wait until the day when the sun was up again. The two of us were cheerful when the flight finally left the airport. The two of us were both beginning to believe the people I was with and I might have to spend the holidays in IL.
