I work at a restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights. During the rest of the week, I work at a clothing shop at the mall. I picked up the job on Friday and Saturday night so I could make a little bit of extra money to buy a new car. So far I have almost $1,000 saved up. I had to use some of the money from my savings when there was a problem with the AC in my apartment. I am responsible for paying all of the AC and furnace repair bills in my apartment. When the AC stopped working, it was my responsibility to call an Alsip service company to fix the problem. The AC broke down in the middle of the night. I had to contact an emergency service technician. I called several local Alsip companies before I found a provider that was open for 24-hour emergency services. The cost for the emergency service appointment with the Alsip AC repair company was quite expensive. The problem was the fact that it was after hours. The repair wasn’t actually that much money, but I had to pay almost $100 extra in fees because I didn’t want to wait until the morning to fix the problem. If I had waited until the morning, I could have saved on those emergency fees. Then I would have had to call my job at the mall and cancel working the shift. I would have lost out on at least $100 of work, so it made sense to call the AC repair company.
