Phoenix is a great place to visit during the winter months, because the daytime temperatures are still in the 60s and at night it barely reaches freezing. There are so many wonderful and fun things to do in Phoenix. You can hike in the desert or explore museums. You can enjoy a day at a spa or a day out on the links golfing. My wife and I decided to go to Phoenix last January for 2 weeks of rest and relaxation. One of the places that we visited was the Desert Botanical garden. This 150 acre garden has more than 50,000 different desert plant varieties. The Botanical Garden is open every single day and tickets can be purchased online. I like walking through the garden paths to see all of the different types of cacti and plants. After spending the day at the Botanical garden, I like to go to a restaurant close to my apartment. The place has excellent sandwiches and soup and they always have a great indoor atmosphere. Even when it’s 100° outside, the air conditioner is running and it feels like 70° inside of the deli. The place is always packed, especially during the summer when it’s hot and humid. The deli is one of the only restaurants in the area that has air conditioning, bathrooms, and a full-service menu of foods that are under $10.
