Although I’ve lived in Portland, OR, for nearly many years, I never get fatigued of exploring the city… There is always something new to discover and fun to do. The people are especially friendly and the community thrives on weirdness. The historic downtown section is quite compact and easily walkable. There is a wonderful riverfront park that is easily accessible from our apartment… I prefer spreading a blanket, reading a book and soaking up some sunlight for a few minutes. Another number one town in Southeast’s Hawthorne Boulevard. I can spend a whole day visiting the eating establishments, bars, boutique shops and catching a film. I occasionally venture as far as North Mississippi Avenue and treat myself to one of the several food cards, and I’m always a fan of the little cafes, shops and galleries found on northeast’s Alberta Street. I look forward to Last Thursday, which is a bi-weekly street celebration that’s always a nice time, then just about every Friday, I make a trip to the cannabis dispensary. I recognize actually lucky that recreational weed is legal in OR and that I have such easy access to a wide range of cannabis products. The dispensary carries all of the most well-recognized producers and popular strains. I can choose from sky-high THC-rich concentrates or full-spectrum CBD tinctures. Their menu of edibles is diverse and delicious, but from dried flower, pre-rolls and vapes for smoking to curative topicals and taste beverages, I continually find something new to appreciate. I have joined the dispensary’s loyalty program so that I receive points for every purchase. I also save a little currency by shopping the bi-weekly deals and specials.
