The weather in Lee’s Summit, MO is quite mild.
I like that we get four distinct seasons though. The spring and the fall are probably my favorite times of the year. In the fall we get the changing leaves. There are pumpkins, squash and zucchini blooming. I like to make stew, soup and spaghetti squash. I have the local HVAC dealer come in and inspect the heating equipment. I make sure that everything is all clean, neat and tidy. Then I can rest easy and know that our winter is going to be nice and warm. I have a gas fireplace and radiant flooring in the nice. The fireplace I will admit is more of a decor thing. We get a few nights that are very chilly that I turn it on for supplemental heating. For the most part I just use the radiant flooring. The quiet, gentle heat is great. In the spring it is the reverse. I enjoy that we have all sorts of flowers blooming. I bought a bunch of hanging baskets and set up potted plants. I mulch my garden and plant some new vegetables. I then make sure to get the cooling system properly tuned up. The inner workings get mold and mildew removed. I have the condensate drain mucked out and the dust wiped out. Then the air conditioner is good to make it through the summer. It doesn’t get too hot in our area, but enough where cooling is necessary. I can’t imagine areas that are always hot or cold. I like getting a change of pace.
