Jacksonville, Florida is a very interesting city.
It is one of the only places in the world where the river actually flows north.
There is a lake down by Orlando and the river originates there. The river flows north into Jacksonville and fills the entire county with its water supply. The St. Johns River is one of the largest waterways in jacksonville. There are constantly voters in the water for commercial leisure fishing. The river practically splits Jacksonville and Duval County into two separate parts. The west side of the city is west of 295 and the east side of the city is east of the 295 merger. I work for a repair business that is located in North Jacksonville. We service all of the city including the beaches, mandarin, and the West side. I was at a place down by the beach working on a ductless HVAC repair. I was close to the river and there was a beautiful view. I had a view of the beach and the river at the same time. The owner of the house had the windows open since the ductless HVAC system was not working. I could smell salt and fish in the air. When I was finished with the HVAC repair, all I could do was think about fishing. When I was done with work that day, I decided to go to the river for a couple of hours. I didn’t catch anything, but I spent the afternoon there. The following weekend I decided to go to big Talbot Island to go fishing.
