Not sure what kind of heater I want

I have been on the hunt for an ideal heating system in South Bend.

I wanted something that would combat the long, brutal winter season.

Thankfully I have a lot of heating experts in Indiana. I found a location that has all sorts of equipment. They have every style of furnace. I could get gas, oil, or electricity. They have hot water and steam boilers. They have heated flooring, hydronic heating, and fireplaces. There are ductless HVAC systems, heat pumps, hybrid heaters, and VRF systems. What should I pick? I will admit that I am leaning towards a boiler. I like that the heating system can hide under my house in the basement. I like that piping can be attached and installed virtually anywhere. It could be hooked to radiators, baseboards or be put in the flooring. Hydronic heating sounds like the classiest option but the most expensive. A boiler isn’t exactly cheap either. It is super expensive but you get it around 50 years though. So after buying a boiler I would need to hook piping to it and redo all of my flooring. That would be such a large cost. Adding the boiler to my baseboards would probably be more cost effective. It isn’t as classy or as good, but might do the job. It is so hard picking a heating system for a home. You don’t know what is going to work for the place and what will last. You aren’t familiar with all the brands and styles. As a woman in her 30s I haven’t been around a lot of heaters.
