I am so excited that a neighbor of mine mentioned heated flooring. I live in Massachusetts. It is frigid 90% of the time; Having a supplemental boiler is never a dumb idea. I serviced the home’s Heating plus A/C unit plus saw it was over 15 years old. How long would it last? I could be potentially saving my butt with another heater! So I dumped even more currency into that project to get heated flooring, then everyone said I was silly however I was excited. Every space got new floors with a heating system underneath. I then painted, cleaned, plus redid one lavatory, because of the electric heated flooring I wasn’t able to redo the kitchen like I wanted, then at first I thought I made a mistake. After one winter season in Lowell, Massachusetts, I was so blissful I did radiant heating. It is amazing having the heat at my feet, no heated air rises to the top plus gets wasted. No noise, dust being stirred plus anything that touches the system feels sizzling as a result… My animal easily enjoys the heating system. I don’t cook that much, so the heated flooring was the better choice. My new Heating plus A/C is threatening to quit plus I am not even upset.
