When I moved to Seattle, I was already used to taking ferries with my vehicles.
I lived in Newfoundland for a while & there were many locations & islands prefer PEI that you could not access with a bridge.
It can be time consuming to account for ferry travel if you have a limited amount of time to get to a particular location.
