Living in Chicago provides a lot of really great amenities.

We have the Chicago Bulls NBA team, the Chicago Bears NFL team and the Chicago Blackhawks NHL team. There are a wide variety of really amazing restaurants, great shopping, museums and river cruises. It is one of the biggest cities in the United States. Now that medicinal and recreational cannabis is legal to purchase and possess in Illinois, we’ve also got lots of dispensaries to choose from. There are twenty dispensaries within easy driving distance from my apartment. Some are smaller, boutique shops that offer unique strains and higher THC potency. The larger dispensaries include on-site bakeries, on-site testing labs, vape lounges and dab bars. It’s super helpful to have a knowledgeable budtender available to explain how to safely go about dabbing. It’s also fun to hang out with like-minded people and make new friends. While some of the stores cultivate their own cannabis and create their own brand, others source products from across the country. Most of the shops include online ordering, curbside pickup and in-store pickup to expedite the shopping process. Unfortunately, cannabis delivery is not yet allowed in Chicago, so it is still necessary to visit the actual store to make a purchase. I actually like stopping at the different dispensaries and browsing the shelves. I like taking a look at the quality of the flower, options for pre-rolls, textures of concentrates and array of edibles. I enjoy chatting with the budtenders and gaining insight and recommendations. I often shop the daily deals and specials to save a little money and try something new.
