First of all, we are not a city. Heck, we aren’t even a town. If you didn’t already know, Glenview is technically a village. There are not many villages in our great country, and we like to think that we are the best! I have no idea why that is, actually, I assume it has something to do with paperwork and government regulations. Located this close to the great city of Chicago, sometimes I feel like we are just a glorified suburb of the Second City, and so maybe that’s why Glenview remains a village – to set us apart from the dozens of other towns and suburbs in the area. There is a lot to love about the village of Glenview, from our abundant wildlife to our lush forests surrounding the city, not to mention the amazing view of Chicago at night. Glenview is far enough away from the city to not get the noise or the crime, but we are close enough for Chicago to light up the night sky. It’s really quite breathtaking. I work for a specialty HVAC business for high end clients, many of whom live in Chicago. I am not an HVAC tech however, I don’t do house calls, I work in the warehouse here in Glenview. If they ever close the Glenview warehouse and transfer me to the Chicago branch, I swear I will quit! I love it in Glenview, and the warehouse is a very short commute, there is no way I would deal with the nightmare of commuting to the big city every day.
What I like (and don’t like) about Eugene Oregon
If you were making a list of the most charming and beautiful cities, I doubt Eugene Oregon would be on that list.
- Personally I love it here, but it’s not exactly ripped from the cover of a travelog, you know what I mean? It rains a lot here, and by “a lot” I mean it rains half the time.
Constantly, no matter what season it is, or what the temperatures are, you can rest assured that if it didn’t rain today, it will rain tomorrow – or it might just rain both days! For those of us who aren’t put off by a little rain, Eugene is one the great towns in Oregon, and let me tell you why! First of all, there is the beauty of nature, because Eugene is surrounded by some of the most lush, dense, and wildlife-filled forests in the country. Second of all, Eugene is known far and wide for the amazing cannabis grown in the area, and of course stocked and sold at our legal dispensaries. Third, I like to think Eugene has some of the best food in all of Oregon, but to be fair with all this yummy cannabis I consume, that may be the munchies talking! The one thing you will never hear me praise about Eugene is the weather, which is dreary on a good day, and on most other days too. As my mom used to say “a little rain never hurt anyone except witches” so get yourself an umbrella, buy some weed, and enjoy what Eugene has to offer.

This part of the city used to be very busy.
People paid a fortune to move to the apartments and condos.
There were night clubs, dance bars, and restaurants open until 3 in the morning.This part of the city was filled with entertainment, but now it’s filled with homeless vagrants and broken down houses that need work. Over the last 20 years, the city has changed and this area in San Francisco is no longer as busy as it once was. I’ve seen a lot of shops open up in the business plaza across the street from my apartment building. The real estate must be really cheap, because there is a new place there every three or four months. A few months ago I was excited, because a cannabis shop opened in the neighborhood. The San francisco-based cannabis shop had many of the same products as the main store. They had higher than average prices. The cannabis shop did not offer any sales or specials and they didn’t have very many in-store promotions. After three months, the cannabis shop had to close its doors. That was the last time there was a business in that particular spot. It seems like the plaza might be cursed, because no one can make it a full year. There really aren’t a lot of restaurants in this San Francisco neighborhood. I would personally prefer to see a Mexican restaurant with authentic queso and really good guacamole, or maybe a really nice Italian place that makes good pizza, pasta, and bread.

The lemon flavored tincture was really gross
My friends and I went to a new Denver dispensary last weekend.
- The place opened up a couple of weeks ago.
The dispensary has a lounge and seating area for customers to sit and relax. The dispensary is the first-of-its-kind in the city of Denver. My friends and I found out about the dispensary from some people in our apartment building. They were sitting outside of the apartment talking about the new dispensary. Jack and I decided to look at the place online. Their entire selection of products was available online, but Jack and I decided to visit the Denver dispensary to check out the place. Last Saturday, Jack and I went to the dispensary in the afternoon. The Denver dispensary had a huge selection of products. Some products wear items that I have never seen before. I saw a tincture on the shelf with 1,000 mg of THC. The lemon flavored tincture was only $30 and I thought that was a great deal for 1,000 mg of THC. The lady behind the counter told me that the tincture was one of their most popular products. She advised me to get the grape or lemon flavor, because those were the favorites among the other customers. I got the lemon flavored tincture and a couple of infused marijuana pre-rolls. I hoped the lemon flavored tincture would taste good, but it turned out to be one of the most disgusting products I have ever tried. It tasted like cough syrup and not in a good way. Honestly, I threw most of it in the garbage.
The Denver dispensary had an amazing sale on concentrates
Last weekend Jack and I went to Denver to watch a baseball game.
The game was right around the corner from a marijuana dispensary.
When the game was over, Jack and I decided to walk to the dispensary. We left the car in the parking lot and walked across the street. Traffic was extremely heavy and no one was going anywhere for at least an hour. Instead of sitting in our car, waiting for traffic to clear, Jack and I took a walk and went to the marijuana dispensary instead. The dispensary had an amazing sale on concentrates. They had at least 25 different types of concentrate for under $25. They had more items than I’ve ever seen in one store. The marijuana dispensary had a lot of different concentrates like batter, shatter, butter, rosin, and live resin. As long as you picked five items that were under $25, we got them all for $99. 5 Grams of concentrate for $99 was a great deal. I picked out two grams of live resin concentrate. One of the live resin strains was blue dream and the other live resin strain was super Sour Diesel. I also picked out three grams of Indica concentrate. The Denver dispensary had a ton of different indicas. It was hard to make my selection, but I picked out a gram of papaya, Do-si-dos, and Girl Scout cookies. Jack picked out 5 grams of concentrate from the Denver dispensary as well and both of us left feeling very happy. When we got back to the car, the traffic jam had cleared.
I like the warm spring months in Albuquerque
Albuquerque, New Mexico is one of my favorite places to visit in the Midwest. It’s a four hour drive from my home, but it’s certainly one of my favorite places to relax and rest for a week. Albuquerque is situated in the middle of the Southwest. Albuquerque has some of the best weather in the country. The summer months are warm and comfortable with very little rain and precipitation. My family and I have been visiting Albuquerque every year for a decade. We usually stay in a hotel, but last summer we decided to rent a condo. We stayed in a condo close to the site of the balloon festival. The condo had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The place had a full kitchen with a range, microwave, sink, and dishwasher. The place even had central air conditioning. The outdoor temperatures weren’t extremely hot and humid, but it was still nice to have climate control in the car. We set the temperature on the thermostat to 72 degrees and left it there during our week-long stay. We never had any problems with the climate control or AC. My family and I visited a lot of different places in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During our last visit, we went to the Petroglyph National Monument. We took hundreds of pictures of the petroglyphs and posted them online. My other friends and family enjoyed seeing the pictures of the Albuquerque destinations that we visited during that trip. We might have even convinced a few people to visit the area and experience the tourism first hand.
The kids found out on the way home from school
Bad news has a way of traveling fast in this town.
The town is very small, even though we are located right outside of Tampa.
We are in the sticks and it’s still about 45 minutes from Tampa City Limits. The only thing we have is a lot of chicken and cattle. My kids go to school in Tampa Bay and they take the school bus an hour each way every day. They get a top-notch education. I know they learn a lot more at that Tampa School than they do from the school here in the sticks. My wife and I had to fight hard to get the school to bus the kids back and forth. Thankfully both of my children are gifted and geniuses in the science department. Last week we had some trouble with the air conditioner and I called a repair service. The kids were at school when the air conditioner repair service arrived. The air conditioner repair service was leaving the address when the kids were getting home from school. The kids started complaining as soon as they saw me. They knew that the air conditioner had not been fixed. Bad news travels so fast that my kids found out before me. I don’t know how, but the kids knew that they were going to need to spend the evening without any cold air in the house. The AC compressor needed to be replaced and the part would not arrive until the next day. The kids acted like it was the end of the world. They are so entitled and spoiled with the city ways.
I had an awesome time on my travels
When I was young I dreaded going to Illinois! My parents both worked, & money was tight, so when the summer time getaway came around they shipped myself and others east to stay with my Grandparents on their rural farm, however this way they didn’t have to worry about myself and others being unattended while I was out of college & they were working… Summers on the farm were deadly dull, separate from much to do besides chores, & I hated having to go.
The only thing I loved about those afternoons was when my Grandma would take myself and others to Orland Park for a day trip, i think that Orland Park is not a major metropolitan area, but compared to that remote piece of farmland it was as great as Chicago itself, but on the farm my Grandparents only had a small, window mounted a/c, which needed a actually identifiable kind of air filter.
This was a long time ago, mind you, & we couldn’t buy a ten-pack of sturdy air filters at Walmart, then all of us had to travel to Orland Park to get the air filters, & usually Grandma used it as an excuse to take myself and others out for ice cream, or to get new shoes. Orland Park had a motion picture theater & a shopping mall, & every kind of fast food I could think of, & I desperately wanted my Grandparents to transport there. After a while I started breaking holes in the air filters, just so my Grandma had a reason to take myself and others back to Orland Park, which is pretty crazy now that I think about it. .
